TROPICAL HERMANN MEYER TYPE EM/NCO SERVICE CAP (TROPENSCHIRMMUTZE)

Luftwaffe “Hermann Meyer” tropical NCO’s visor cap by (FAB) Fabric Adler Berg The “Hermann Meyer” This Luftwaffe enlisted man’s Tropical North Africa visor cap, also referred to as a Hermann Meyer cap, is a khaki-tan cotton with the band being semi-stiff to give the cap shape. Each side of the cap top presents two eyelets for ventilation. The cap includes a neck flap attached to the cap by three metal buttons at the rear base of the cap band A soft thin, black leather chinstrap rests on the visor, attached to the cap by two buttons. The insignia consists of a machine-woven Luftwaffe-style eagle and a standard machine-embroidered wreathed cockade. The interior of the cap shows the typical red lining with maker mark: FAB FABRIK ALDER BERG. This particular example is the earliest know variant of the classic visor caps worn in the North African theater. Available In All Sizes
